In the Trenches

Fall is all about layering, the temperature is always changing from cold in the morning to warmer in the afternoon so I like to have options. I stuck with all black and then slipped the trench coat on when I need it, it is $27 and true to size. Underneath I have a bodysuit and capri leggings as well as a pair of cut out flat booties. The trench is great because you can dress it up or dress it down depending on what you are doing. In this case we were waiting on a tropical storm to come through which never ended up happening, but at least I was prepared! This pink color has been one of my favorites all summer long and I am happy to bring it into my fall wardrobe as well. I hope you have a great weekend.

Over the knee boots are a great addition to a fall and winter wardrobe because it is a different option other then a riding boot or a bootie. They go with pants or leggings as well as dresses so they are very versatile. This pair is very affordable at $45 if you are a VIP member and $75 if you are not, that is why I love Justfab, the more you shop there the better deals you get. They are so comfortable, they come in standard as well as wife calf (I have on the standard). This dress is one of my favorites right now, it is currently sold out but if you click on "notify me/special order" you can either get a notification when it is back in stock or you can order it from the designer. I checked and it is available through the designer, if you choose that option there is no obligation to buy. They will let you know when it is in your cart and you can purchase it if you decide you want it! My choker is no longer available but I added a very similar one if you like the look. Off the Shoulder Obsessed

My off the shoulder obsession continues, it was my favorite trend of summer and I love that it can be translated into fall looks as well! This top was perfect for the BBQ I went to labor day weekend and moving into fall I will be styling it with dark denim and booties. This top is supposed to have straps but they laid weird so I decided to get rid of them, it was only $8 so there was no point in returning it. You cannot even tell that the straps were supposed to be there so it worked out just fine. This top is sold out but I linked a few other similar ones that will be great for cooler weather below. My stance on white after labor day: if the weather is warm and the outfit is on point, do it!

Heat Wave in September

From thinking there was going to be a tropical storm last weekend to hearing there will be a heat wave this weekend it is safe to say that the weather is confused. So, I will be keeping my summer wardrobe out longer then expected. This romper is a great piece for unexpected weather changes because it is easy to layer and it is on sale for only $20! The crocheted fabric gives it a great texture and the neckline is really flattering. This vibrant red is so pretty and it fits true to size. The straps are adjustable and the shorts portion of the romper are not too short so all around it is really comfortable. Links are below to purchase this whole look!

Fall Florals

Fall is just around the corner and even though I am so sad that summer is ending I am excited to pull out my fall wardrobe and update it with some new pieces. This dress is first up and I am obsessed with it. The fall florals are on point and the pleating detail on the back is really different! This dress is perfect for work and then out for happy hour as well. It fits true to size and it is $24. Once it gets colder I will be wearing it with OTK boots and a peacoat. 

I know there have been a lot of questions about the place I got this dress, SheIn, so here are my thoughts on the company and my best tips when purchasing from them:

1) I have placed orders with this company about 5 times and every time I have received everything that I ordered. Each piece has been what was advertised online.

2) It does take some time for you to receive it so do not order something hoping to get it for the weekend. Give them about 2-3 weeks.

3) I have made returns and I got my refund just like any other store, you just have to pay to ship the items back.

4) Their customer service team gets back to you quickly and they are very helpful.

5) Most of the clothing is true to size but there have been a few pieces that were not. I tend to purchase more loose fitting pieces that could fit me if I ordered a size up or down. That strategy has worked for me so far. 

6) Lastly, I tend to buy in bulk from this site, making one purchase every few months has worked best for me. Because it takes so long to get to me I like to get it all at once. Also, because I have to pay for the shipping back, I would rather return multiple things at once then one thing at a time. 

I am not being paid to say any of this, I am just sharing my experience so if you have been on the fence about ordering from them you can make an informed decision. Their prices are so low because they are essentially cutting out the middle man and selling direct to the consumer. Their stuff is fast fashion and very trendy so I go into the purchase knowing I will be wearing it for only a season or two. Chillin' with no Makeup On

Our American Bulldog, Beni, loves to play frisbee, it is without a doubt his favorite activity. Anytime Steve and I get the chance we take him to the park and that is when he is happiest. We always go to the nearby high school and play until he is tired. I don't usually post athletic wear but I had to share this outfit because its one of my favorites. A local company called Route One Apparel made this shirt and it encompasses everything Maryland is about (the mauve leggings really show my Ravens pride). These leggings are really comfortable and flattering and the tie around the legs add a unique element that I love. Date Night

The past few weeks have been crazy (in the best way possible) so a date night with my man was much needed.
