Black and White and Casual All Over

Happy Friday! 

Since I started my new job I have been super overwhelmed to the adjustment. The work load is much heavier then my last job so I have been trying to find a way to manage everything. I don't think that this is different from what other people go through but I do think we all handle it differently. At first I was getting super stressed because I was looking at all the work that had to be done instead of the work that I needed to get done in that single moment. I have learned to do one thing at a time and stay focused on the present, it has helped and I am getting there so hopefully soon I will feel much better about it all! How do you balance work and life?!

A casual and cute look like this one is my favorite! I love being able to look great but still appropriate for everyday living! I am always searching for balance (in every aspect of my life) and this outfit is just that! A denim jacket is a staple in my closet, especially for spring, because it matches everything and is the perfect layering piece! My top is oversized but fits true to size and it is under $50! It is short sleeved so it will be so cute as we move into warmer weather! I have had these leggings for a few years and they have held up great, they are at a higher price point but it is so worth it! Lastly, I can't say enough good things about these shoes. Lace It Up

The lace up trend has been around for a little while and I love that it is being translated onto sweaters for the winter! It is such a cute detail that can be dressed up or down. This particular one is shorter in the front and a little longer in the back which is a great cut to wear with denim. It is also super warm and cozy which is necessary when purchasing sweaters. I wear them on repeat so I love when they are versatile and comfortable. I have linked the lace up sweater i have on below as well as a few others that are super affordable. Camel and Plaid

There is something amazing about putting on a cozy sweater and heels, I love the balance of comfort and chic in one look. Camel colored anything is one of my go to's, it matches everything and is a great contrast with darker hair colors. I also really like the mock neck, it is not as intense as a turtle neck but gives the illusion of one. When I saw these plaid heels I fell in love with them but they did not have my size. So I kept an eye on them and I was able to snag them for $40! Headed out to get some chipotle for lunch! Blush and army green is my new favorite color combo, I am loving how they compliment each other. In the Trenches

Fall is all about layering, the temperature is always changing from cold in the morning to warmer in the afternoon so I like to have options. I stuck with all black and then slipped the trench coat on when I need it, it is $27 and true to size. Underneath I have a bodysuit and capri leggings as well as a pair of cut out flat booties. The trench is great because you can dress it up or dress it down depending on what you are doing. In this case we were waiting on a tropical storm to come through which never ended up happening, but at least I was prepared! This pink color has been one of my favorites all summer long and I am happy to bring it into my fall wardrobe as well. I hope you have a great weekend.

Date Night

The past few weeks have been crazy (in the best way possible) so a date night with my man was much needed. We decided on the typical dinner and a movie and it was so nice to spend some quality time together. We went and saw Sausage Party and it was funny, but honestly I would recommend waiting until it comes out On Demand to watch it.

Criss-Crossed

I am still recovering from such an amazing weekend, we made some great memories and I cannot wait until we can get everyone together again. I do not recover the way I used to but it was so worth it! This dress was perfect for catching up on work, lounging and running errands. It fits true to size and would transition beautifully into the fall, all you need is a leather jacket and over the knee boots! It comes in 9 different colors and it is only $44, the charcoal and olive are my other favorites! On days when I don't have much time to spare these types of dresses are a savior, throw it on, add minimal jewelry and I am out the door. I have linked this look below!
