Sunday Blues

Hope you are having a wonderful Sunday! We got some rain (and hail) yesterday and it brought the temperature down quite a bit. I have a feeling winter is not over yet, unfortunately. But luckily this sweater is so cute and comes in black as well! The blue color way is back ordered but you can leave your email to get notified when it is in stock. Work Wear

My new job has been such a whirlwind! It is so different from my last job so I have been adjusting this past week! I am loving the challenge and I feel like it is a perfect fit for me. I get to meet with clients, learn about their business and create a social media schedules that help their businesses grow. I love the creativity as well as the interaction with my clients, they are passionate about their businesses and it is nice to be apart of that!

I started a juice cleanse today so follow me on Instagram Story to follow how it goes! I am eating some fruits, raw vegetables and soups dependent upon how I feel because I believe in feeding your body what it needs. This is the perfect way to jumpstart a healthier lifestyle after a busy last few months! 

This outfit is perfect for a job like mine, where it is casual atmosphere. The pleating details and print really make a uniquely cute top! It is not see through at all so you don't have to wearing anything under it. It also looks great with denim or black pants, which is great for work and play! Winter White & Cold Shoulder

I am back home to my normal routine after an amazing trip. A lot changed since I have been gone...I turned a year older and we moved into a new year. A fresh start is always a good idea and I have no doubt that this year will be the best one yet. There are so many good things happening this year and I cannot wait for it all, no doubt it will be super busy but that is what makes it exciting. I am not a huge fan of resolutions but I am a fan of making sure I am better and I do better then I did before. I am pushing myself to go outside of my comfort zone and I am determined to create the life I have been dreaming about. I have all of the tools, resources and ambitions to do it, I just need to stay out of my own way and take the risks needed to get myself there. It feels like all of the missing parts and blurry spots have come together and things are clearer then ever. Now I need to put in the work to make all my dreams happen for myself. 

This look was one of my favorites from my trip. I wore it the night we went to dinner with all of Steve's cousins and I was so comfortable in it! This top is a little different then most cold shoulders because the cut outs are up higher then usual, I like how it plays on the trend in a new way! It is super soft and the price point is right around $50! My sisters boyfriend got me that hat for Christmas and it is so versatile and comfortable. It is from Lululemon but I cannot find it on their site (he got it in store) so I linked a similar one below with the rest of this look!

Oh Christmas Tree

Picking a Christmas tree is one of my favorite things to do! Every year we go and cut down a tree and pull out all of our decorations, ornaments and candles to make our home super festive. I love looking through all of the ornaments because they are all full of amazing memories, milestones and trips! We found the cutest tree, it is not huge but it is perfectly shaped and full. We ended up put it in the nook of our living room, this is the first Christmas in the townhouse so we had to figure out what looked best. Whenever I walk in the door and smell the tree it makes me so happy. 

This half fabric and half denim jacket is a few years old but always in rotation, it is a great layering piece, I linked a similar one below that is on sale below! This plaid is also one of my favorites, it is so soft and there are so many ways to wear it! This tank and denim have made many appearances recently! Lastly, my boots were perfect for this occasion. They are really comfortable and I love that there is barely a heel. They are great for a casual event because they are good looking and functional.

Black Friday

My sister and I decided to go Black Friday shopping this year and we had a very pleasant experience, we went to the Queenstown Premium Outlets a little later in the day and the lines were not bad at all! We got a lot of Christmas shopping done and spent some quality time together so it ended up being a great time! When getting dressed for the day I considered a few things:

1) Comfort - You have to be comfortable in what you are wearing. There is a lot of walking and you don't want to be adjusting yourself all day.

2) Layering - There is a lot of temperature change when walking in and out of stores so you want to be able to take layers off and on easily!

3) Trying On - Just incase you need to try a few things on you want to wear something that is easy to slip on and off quickly.

After all of those considerations I decided on a super soft long sleeve top with cut out details, a vest, distressed black denim and flat fringe booties. Fall Basics

When the weather starts to turn cold there are two basics that are necessary to have for a very fashionable fall; scarves and boots! My selection of both are vast because I have them on rotation all winter long and I cannot ever resist a cute plaid scarf or the perfect riding boot! 1) My name is Holly because I am born 5 days after Christmas.

2) I am going to be a first time aunt in April and I am so exciting I can hardly handle it!

3) I grew up in Maryland and it is where I am currently but I lived on the west coast for 6 years.

4) I am the youngest of 3 - I have a sister who is 7 years older then me and a brother that is 4 years older then me.

Off the Shoulder Obsessed

My off the shoulder obsession continues, it was my favorite trend of summer and I love that it can be translated into fall looks as well! This top was perfect for the BBQ I went to labor day weekend and moving into fall I will be styling it with dark denim and booties. This top is supposed to have straps but they laid weird so I decided to get rid of them, it was only $8 so there was no point in returning it. You cannot even tell that the straps were supposed to be there so it worked out just fine. This top is sold out but I linked a few other similar ones that will be great for cooler weather below. My stance on white after labor day: if the weather is warm and the outfit is on point, do it!

On Mondays we Wear White (pants)

White pants are a go-to for summertime because they look great with everything and are a welcome change from denim. I have had this pair for two seasons now and still love them. They are such a great price point of around $50 and fit so well still to this day. This tank top comes in 10 colors and is only $30! I love the double strap detail and it fits true to size. My other favorite colors offered are black and olive, they will transition into fall and look great with a light jacket. I have had these shoes for a year so they are unavailable but I have linked a similar pair below. I am a fan of buying neutral colored shoes in most cases so they match everything in my closet. Without the shoes this look is under $100 and, individually, each piece can be worn with so many other things so it is a great investment in your wardrobe.
