Blue and Basic

This is my last week before I become an aunt and I am anxiously awaiting the babies arrival! I cannot wait to see if it is a boy or girl and I am so excited for the next chapter of my life as an aunt! So many surprises are coming within the next week and it is all so exciting! My sister and I are so close but I can only imagine this experience is going to bring us and our family together in a way that we could never expect! I have a feeling there are going to be way too many photos taken...I need to add more storage on my phone! Any tips from aunts out there?! Leave them in the comments below, they are much appreciated!
This dress is so perfect for so many occasions! It covers up just enough but is still super cute, it fits true to size and it comes in 3 colors! I wore it to a meeting and I was very comfortable but still appropriate! It is only $61 and all sizes are available! I paired this dress with a pair of brown booties that have a stitching detail and they worked perfectly to finish off the look! The booties fit true to size and are a great basic to have in your closet that will not break the bank! Links to purchase this look are below!

Winter White & Cold Shoulder

I am back home to my normal routine after an amazing trip. A lot changed since I have been gone...I turned a year older and we moved into a new year. A fresh start is always a good idea and I have no doubt that this year will be the best one yet. There are so many good things happening this year and I cannot wait for it all, no doubt it will be super busy but that is what makes it exciting. I am not a huge fan of resolutions but I am a fan of making sure I am better and I do better then I did before. I am pushing myself to go outside of my comfort zone and I am determined to create the life I have been dreaming about. I have all of the tools, resources and ambitions to do it, I just need to stay out of my own way and take the risks needed to get myself there. It feels like all of the missing parts and blurry spots have come together and things are clearer then ever. Now I need to put in the work to make all my dreams happen for myself.
This look was one of my favorites from my trip. I wore it the night we went to dinner with all of Steve's cousins and I was so comfortable in it! This top is a little different then most cold shoulders because the cut outs are up higher then usual, I like how it plays on the trend in a new way! It is super soft and the price point is right around $50! My sisters boyfriend got me that hat for Christmas and it is so versatile and comfortable. It is from Lululemon but I cannot find it on their site (he got it in store) so I linked a similar one below with the rest of this look!

Black Friday

My sister and I decided to go Black Friday shopping this year and we had a very pleasant experience, we went to the Queenstown Premium Outlets a little later in the day and the lines were not bad at all! We got a lot of Christmas shopping done and spent some quality time together so it ended up being a great time! When getting dressed for the day I considered a few things:
1) Comfort - You have to be comfortable in what you are wearing. There is a lot of walking and you don't want to be adjusting yourself all day.
2) Layering - There is a lot of temperature change when walking in and out of stores so you want to be able to take layers off and on easily!
3) Trying On - Just incase you need to try a few things on you want to wear something that is easy to slip on and off quickly.
After all of those considerations I decided on a super soft long sleeve top with cut out details, a vest, distressed black denim and flat fringe booties. The black and white theme was also perfect considering the day! Check out my previous Instagram post to see one of my purchases from that day! Links to purchase this look are below!

Rompin' Around

Happy Thursday!
There was such an overwhelming response to this romper and for good reason, it is so cute, the fit is great and it is super flattering! I have worn it a few times and get so many compliments every time I do! This is one of the more expensive things I have posted in a while but this piece is definitely worth it. If it is way to expensive I have also linked the red color way of this exact romper and it is on sale! It is just as cute but at a better price point, can't beat that! Right now all sizes in both colors are available so get it while you can! I decided to size up when ordering and I am glad I did. There is a zipper down the side as the closure and, from my experience, I usually need to size up when that is the case. I also find that when buying rompers I need to size up to make sure the bottom half fits correctly, so considering both of those things I made the right decision. If you look at the reviews they are pretty mixed so if you are looking to purchase it check out your other romper sizes and compare that to what you usually get to make the best decision for yourself!
I use Nippies for this romper since the cut out is there and they work great, the tie acts as a bra in a way and holds everything in (and up) very well! I have dressed it up with heels like shown here but I have also dressed it down with a bun on my head and strappy sandals...either way it looks great!

It is National Lipstick Day today so I also wanted to link my current favorite lipstick that I am wearing all the time now> Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lip Color in Seduction. I have tried a few matte lipsticks and this is by far my favorite. It goes on so smooth and does not dry out or crack on your lips, it is long lasting and is a great natural color for everyday. It does take a little while for it to become matte so I recommend putting it on a little while before you go out but it is the best. I am definitely going to get it other colors!

Today is the last day to vote for Best of Baltimore Reader Poll. CLICK HERE fill in your name, email address and date of birth then under "blog (other)" type in Invisible Crowne Blog. Thanks so much in advance for  the support!

Wedding Joy

One of my life long friends got married this past weekend and it was so beautiful. The venue was stunning and their love for each other is so inspiring, it was one of those days I will remember forever! So happy for them!
This dress is only $88 and true to size. I love that the straps are adjustable so I was able to make it comfortable and not let all the goodies show! As a bra I used Nippies, a pack of 2 is $9 and I always have them on hand just in case. They are seamless so no one even knows they are there! The pleating on this dress is so pretty and the fabric is great, it draped perfectly around my curves. My shoes are $40 from Justfab, they fit true to size and they were super comfortable all night. They will be perfect for transitioning into fall!

He Liked it so he put a Ring on it

The past few days have been a whirlwind in the best way possible. We got engaged while on Kiawah Island, SC and we are humbled by all of the well wished and love that followed from everyone. Two of my best friends took me out to dinner and got me a basket of goodies to celebrate the engagement, I am so thankful for having such amazing people in my life! This mug is just the best, don't you think?!
This outfit is so comfortable and perfect for a night out! My top comes in 2 other colors and is short sleeved. The keyhole front is such a great added detail! This skirt is under $100 so flattering and I am already planning other pieces to wear it with, it is selling out so get it quick! I bring my denim jacket with me everywhere, it matches anything and if i need to I just throw it over my shoulders. My heels are $40 and come in 2 other colors, they are perfect for work because of the heel height.
All the links are below to purchase this entire look!

Top 55 Nurses Event

Last week my amazing sister accepted an award as one of the top 55 nurses in Baltimore and of course my family went to support her. It was such an amazing night of recognizing the nurses that work so hard everyday and really make a difference within our community! It was a beautiful event and I was so proud of my big sis!
I know that my outfit is the least important thing happening at that event but we all know that I have to share my favorite looks. The top and the bottom are on sale and go perfectly together and will go individually with so many other pieces. This skirt is true to size, so versatile and is long enough to wear to important functions and short enough to wear on a night out! This top is silk so it is super soft and comfortable and the perfect shade of pink. On a cooler night it would look great with white short or pants and some wedges! My shoes are Sam Edelman from last year and I am still obsessed with them, I can wear them all night with no issues! They will be a staple in my wardrobe for a long time. They are sold out but I linked a few similar ones below! I am wearing my favorite Rocksbox necklace and it goes perfectly with this look! Use code: INVISIBLECROWNEXOXO for your first box free!

Day Trippin' to DC

I have always wanted to see the cherry blossoms so we decided to take a day trip to DC the day after the cherry blossom festival. Upon getting there we noticed quickly that there were not very many in bloom and we were either too late or too early? Regardless we had a great day walking around site seeing, exploring and eating! The weather could not have been more perfect, DC is only about an hour and fifteen minutes from where I live so it was the perfect place to go to get out of town for the day and have some fun with some friends! This outfit was so comfortable, it was effortless and a classic. Sadly, this dress is now out of stock but I have linked it below along with a few others that are very similar!
