I hope everyone had a great weekend! Mine was interesting for sure! The Women's March in DC was a great experience but left me with a lot of questions. I have seen so many opinions on social media about it and to be honest I can see all sides. But why do people feel like it is okay to bash people that do not agree with them? Lets all be respectful of each other and remember that there were so many reasons people wanted to march as well as not wanting to march so don't judge because you never know. For some people this is a scary time with uncertainty and for others it is an exciting time who see it as a new beginning. No matter how you feel I think everyone can agree that there is a lot that needs to change and taking a stand for what you believe in is an amazing start. Lets really make a change by following through with the momentum of the march and get involved. Know who your representatives are, vote on important issues and volunteer whenever you can. I will be looking for ways to get involved and make a difference on the issues that are important to me. This dress was perfect for the party I attended, you can never go wrong with a long sleeved dress this time of year. There are so many ways to wear and accessorize them! This dress was so comfortable and a great mix between casual and dressy. This one is from Forever 21 and only $12.90. It runs small so size up when purchasing! Next time I wear this dress I am going to pair it with leggings, a long cardigan and riding boots as a casual look or to dress it up I will add a pair of pumps and a blazer!

Happy Birthday B!

 How is Beni already 5 years old? In a small way I feel like I understand what it is like for a parent (of a human) to watch their little one grow up. We got him at 7 weeks old and he has been though so much with us, from picking him up in San Francisco to driving back to LA to taking cross country trips to moving back to Maryland and now taking trips to Chicago, he has experienced so much in his life. When I am not with him I miss him and when I am with him I am happy. No matter what he is loving, playful and a joy to be around. When people see him sticking his head out of the car window they can't help but laugh and people love to stop us on the street to say hi (or they are terrified and cross to the other side of the street!). I love taking him to play frisbee and seeing how happy he is when I give him a new toy. I can only hope that we have many more years together. Happy Birthday Beni, I love you endlessly!

I adore looking at our engagement photos and it was mandatory that B was apart of it. Our family friends have a horse farm and they were so sweet to let us shoot there! I decided to go with two different looks. One was a classic white lace look with burgundy booties and the other was a sweater and a burgundy skirt, Steve matched his shirt to my burgundy theme so altogether we were very cohesive! Both looks were super comfortable and affordable, everything fits true to size and can be worn so many different ways! I often wear the lace up sweater with a pair of jeans and you have seen the skirt on here before. I am still waiting for a time to wear the white lace top again, it is so pretty! Pops of Color

Monday came too soon...but thats okay because I had such a great weekend! I wore this outfit last week and it was so comfortable. This dolman sleeved ribbed cashmere top is so comfortable and at a surprisingly affordable price point! I will be wearing it all winter long, it is a great layering piece and you can even wear it off the shoulder! With such a neutral outfit I love to add a pop of color, and this time I decided on a monochromatic look. Burgundy is my go to color this fall so I am incorporating it into my outfits as much as I can! I have had these pants for a while now and I love having a lighter wash option.
