Pops of Color

Monday came too soon...but thats okay because I had such a great weekend! I wore this outfit last week and it was so comfortable. This dolman sleeved ribbed cashmere top is so comfortable and at a surprisingly affordable price point! I will be wearing it all winter long, it is a great layering piece and you can even wear it off the shoulder! With such a neutral outfit I love to add a pop of color, and this time I decided on a monochromatic look. Burgundy is my go to color this fall so I am incorporating it into my outfits as much as I can! I have had these pants for a while now and I love having a lighter wash option. I Love NYC

I had the best time in NYC last weekend. I was able to spend some time with some friends I grew up with as well as meet some amazing women at a fashion and beauty conference. Not only did I meet amazing people with big dreams but I got to listen to a variety of speakers who are successful entrepreneurs that followed their dreams and created their own path. Including a few of my favorites: Jacey Duprie from Damsel in Dior, Christine Cameron from My Style Pill and Catt Sadler from E! News and the Catt Walk. The whole day was so inspiring and I am so happy I pushed myself out of my comfort zone and into a room with people who are passionate about the same things as I am.

My look was put together by making sure that I would be comfortable, fashion forward and able to layer incase it was too hot or too cold. My top is actually a bodysuit and there are cut outs down the arms, my favorite thing about bodysuits is that everything stays in place and you don't have to fuss a lot! This skirt is suede and I am loving the double lace up look, it is sold out in this color but you can add yourself to the restock list or purchase it in the black color way! You already know the story on how I got this Tory Burch coat and yes I wear it everywhere. My purse is a few years old but always a great winter bag year after year, I found it online being resold and it is under $100! Suede and Elbow Patches

After staying up very late to watch the Cubs win the World Series I was so happy to have such a comfortable outfit to wear to work the next day! I love this top because it is $38, it will go with anything and the details are too cute to resist. This top will be the perfect layering piece as the weather gets colder, it will be so cute under a cardigan or a vest! The pants and shoes have made many appearances here already and I love how I am able to re-wear them with SO many different looks! Anytime I see a piece of clothing I like that I am considering buying I think about how I can wear it with other pieces I have already, if I can think of at least 2-3 different ways to wear it I know I have a keeper on my hands! Fall Basics

When the weather starts to turn cold there are two basics that are necessary to have for a very fashionable fall; scarves and boots! My selection of both are vast because I have them on rotation all winter long and I cannot ever resist a cute plaid scarf or the perfect riding boot! 1) My name is Holly because I am born 5 days after Christmas.

2) I am going to be a first time aunt in April and I am so exciting I can hardly handle it!

3) I grew up in Maryland and it is where I am currently but I lived on the west coast for 6 years.

4) I am the youngest of 3 - I have a sister who is 7 years older then me and a brother that is 4 years older then me.
