Back to Basics

As much as I love a good dress and heels there is something I also love about a basic tank top, jeans and heels. I was headed out to dinner with the girls and had not thought much about an outfit, put this look together and off I went. I knew this statement necklace would be the piece to add a little something to this look and this beautifully colored heel tied it together. I am all about being comfortable and this look is just that, especially since I was able to go braless! This tank is basically bodycon so it really holds everything in, it is only $30 and comes in white as well. It is also perfect for underneath other clothing in the colder months so this basic is a must have! These jeans are under $100 and such a great buy, they fit true to size and I have been wearing them all year round! These heels are flawless: the color, fit, feel, everything is just so perfect. They are definitely worth the price tag of $70.

Lady in Red

Steve and I attended a friend's wedding this past weekend right on the Chesapeake Bay and it was absolutely beautiful! Now that I am engaged it is so fun to see how other people put together their special day so we can get ideas for what we will want when it is our turn. I am usually good at finding an outfit for an occasion but I missed the mark this time, I ordered two dresses that I thought would be perfect but neither of them ended up working. By that time I was running short on time so I went onto Nordstrom's website to see if I liked anything. When I saw this dress I knew it would be perfect so I paid for it online and picked it up at the Towson mall that afternoon. This dress is $68, (can you believe it?!) has the most beautiful details and the fit is just perfect and true to size. I was so relieved to find something so beautiful so last minute! If you have a wedding or event coming up I highly suggest this dress! I ordered these shoes a month ago knowing that I would wear them to all the weddings and events coming up this summer. I am so glad I did because they match everything! The scallop detail is so unique and dresses it up a little more.

Blushing Brunette

A pencil skirt and a blouse are a classic combination for the workplace, I tend to dress a little more casual so I changed the look up a little bit. I paired the skirt with a long sleeve basic and some jewelry and I was out the door! The top comes in 3 color ways and the skirt comes in 8 color ways (make sure you click both links below to see all skirt color options) and the total cost of this look is $40! Pair it with your favorite pair of heels and you've got yourself the perfect look for the workplace. I am also planning on wearing this skirt with a lace up tank for a night out this summer because it is so versatile! I will be grabbing one or two more colors to mix and match with the pieces in my closet.

He Liked it so he put a Ring on it

The past few days have been a whirlwind in the best way possible. We got engaged while on Kiawah Island, SC and we are humbled by all of the well wished and love that followed from everyone. Two of my best friends took me out to dinner and got me a basket of goodies to celebrate the engagement, I am so thankful for having such amazing people in my life! This mug is just the best, don't you think?!
This outfit is so comfortable and perfect for a night out! My top comes in 2 other colors and is short sleeved. The keyhole front is such a great added detail! This skirt is under $100 so flattering and I am already planning other pieces to wear it with, it is selling out so get it quick! I bring my denim jacket with me everywhere, it matches anything and if i need to I just throw it over my shoulders. My heels are $40 and come in 2 other colors, they are perfect for work because of the heel height.

Everything is way under $100 and all things that I have been purchasing for my holiday weekend! Enjoy!

Neutral in Florida

The last day of vacation is always bittersweet. I get sad the vacation is over and real life continues but I am happy I am leaving bronzed with great memories. I have PD (packing disorder), it runs in my family so we have created a term for it. I packed way too much stuff and ended up wearing the same white pants 2 out of the 3 nights we were there. I am so glad I grabbed them from Nordstrom before we left because I clearly really like them! The top is only $11 and comes in white also, it is not supposed to be tied like that, I just tried it and liked it! I wore it to work yesterday with black pants, flats and a jean jacket without tying it up so it looks cute multiple ways. These sandals are so comfortable, you can play with the look and lace them up (more to come on these babies in the near future!) in many different ways. They will match any look and work with pants, a skirt or dress! They are only $40 but really comfortable. Something about an all neutral look gets me really excited and I am going to need to do it more often!

Cinco De Mayo

I was in Clearwater, Florida with my two girlfriends for the weekend and it happened to be the same weekend as Cinco De Mayo! We were given some props earlier in the day so we had some fun with them before we went out to dinner (check out my instagram: Invisiblecrowne_blog and the photo below). We decided to venture to St. Petersburg to check out a new part of town and get some Mexican food and we were not disappointed, we went to the Red Mesa Cantina and not only was the restaurant beautiful but the food was amazing. From the rooftop bar, the beautiful indoor/outdoor setting to the most delicious bean dip and chicken tacos we could not have picked a better place to go!
When I saw this top I knew it would be perfect for Cinco De Mayo and just vacation in general! It is only $35 and comes in two colors. When I first got it it took me a few tries to figure out how to get it on haha but once I did I fell in love with it. It is so comfortable and so flattering. Off the shoulder is a huge trend right now and this specific top shows me why! I am obsessed with it and I will be on the prowl for some more off the shoulder tops for sure. These pants are under $100 and fit true to size, I love that they are high waisted because they will look great with any top and the ripped knee adds a little character to them. These shoes are sold out but I have linked another pair that look very similar and are the exact same price!
The links are below!

Stay tuned for a few other outfit posts from my trip!
