My Second Ever Closet Crash!!

Orsia's closet had so many amazing things in it. But there was one problem...lack of organization. Watch as I go in and use every corner of her amazing closet to maximize space and effeciently create the perfect oasis for her clothing and accessories. By the end she is able to quickly get what she needs to be out the door looking and feeling great!

Professionally Fashionable

When you meet someone for the first time, they judge you within the first 4 seconds of contact and their final judgement is made in 30 seconds. So it makes sense that your appearance has a lot to do with that initial judgement which means you want to dress appropriately and give the right first impression. It doesn't matter if you are going on a job interview or mingling at a social event with other professionals, you always want to be memorable to leave a positive lasting impression.

I put together three different work looks that I think are the perfect pairings to create the best first impression possible at all times. When you are confident you give off of an aura that is magnetic and makes other people want to work with you and invest in you to become successful and thrive.

Look #1:
A blazer has always been a staple workwear piece and is always a smart move when trying to look professional. This one has studs on the lapel which adds a little bit of edge. The color scheme is understated but bold enough to get people's attention in a good way. Plus, black wedges are classic.
The blazer is made by Double Zero from Modcloth.com, the dress is made by Trina Turk and the wedges are BCBG

Look #2:
This is the perfect office look for any young professional. You cannot go wrong with a printed pencil skirt and a blouse that has a pop of color with a neutral pump. The look shows that you are mature, responsible and ready for anything that might come your way. You can't beat that.
The top is made by ASTR, the skirt is from Forever 21 and the pumps are Steve Madden.

Look #3:
This is a menswear look that I absolutely love. The floral blouse keeps the look feminine but the black trim and black pants give a sleek and sophisticated impression that would wow anyone in under 30 seconds flat.
The top is from LC Lauren Conrad @ Kohls, the black denim is from Citizens of Humanity and the the flats are from Shoemint.com.

Create these three classic office looks with as many pieces out of your closet as you can and then go shopping to complete them. Stick with neutrals and classics when shopping for the staple pieces like a dress or a pair of pants but choose monotoned and muted bright blouses and tops to add in to spice it up.

Send me some photos of your favorite professionally fashionable looks to invisiblecrowne@gmail.com and I will post them!

Coats for the Cold!

The recent snow has inspired me to look at my outerwear collection and break down the must have pieces for your wardrobe while the cold is still lingering. The best part about winter outerwear is that if you buy the correct pieces you will be able to wear them for a couple seasons without having to buy new ones each year. At most you will need to add one to your collection each season to replace an outdated one or because you found an irrisistable deal!

Jacket #1: Trench Coat
A neutral color trench is the perfect addition to anyones wardrobe. It is perfect for a working woman who is looking for something stylish to wear, it cinches at the waist and slims you in all the right places! The jacket in the photo is Michael Kors.

Jacket #2: Pea Coat
A colorful pea coat is a great way to dress up an everyday, casual outfit for a full day of errands or lunch with your friends. Winter tends to get a little dreary so a pop color will cheer you right up! The wide collar works great with a scarf and the short length makes it casual and timeless! The jacket in the photo is Kenneth Cole.

Jacket #3: mixed media Leather Jacket
Everyone needs a leather jacket, it is a great way to add a little edge to any outfit! When you are ready for date night or cocktails with the girls this is your go to! Wear a tunic, leggings and booties with it and add some chunky jewelry to complete the look! The jacket in the photo is Blank NYC.

Which style jacket do you like the most? let me know in the comment section below!

New Year and New Beginnings

Even though 2013 went by far too quickly, there is something exciting about starting a brand new year and being able to start over. There are always ups and downs, (I had many in 2013) but no matter what happens there is always a chance to right your wrongs, learn from your mistakes and forgive people who have hurt you. Life is short and there is no reason to hang on to any bad feelings…hence the title of this post. It is time to start doing instead of saying and making the most of this brand new year ahead of us. Most of my New Year Resolutions have to do with my career because that is MY focus of 2014.

So here is my favorite one:

1. THIS BLOG! I am so excited to finally be launching the Invisible Crowne fashion blog. I cannot wait to start interacting and connecting with all the other fashion lovers out there, I hope that you will come along with me on this journey, I have so much to talk about and hope you do too!

Cheers to an amazing:

I spend New Years with most of my closest friends and would not have had it any other way! I feel so blessed to have such amazing friends and family! I am wearing a Victoria's Secret dress, black tights and black booties!

Christmas Eve my family went out to a really nice dinner like we do every year. Its always nice to dress up and go out to spend time with the ones that you love. I am wearing an ASOS sweater , a JCrew necklace, a zip front black skirt, Black Spanx Tights and Black booties. The outfit was festive and really playful! I chose to put my hair up in a sock bun because it is an easy hassle free way to do your hair that takes less than a minute! (be on the look out for my sock bun tutorial next week!!)

My boyfriend and I were in Chicago over the holidays to see his family. My best friend from college and I always get together when we are there! I am always so excited to see her and catch up on life...I am crossing my fingers that one day we will live in the same state ;). But until then frequent visits to each other will have to do! I am wearing an LC Lauren Conrad Kohls Sweater and a Plaid Madewell Scarf. Miss you already Kait!!
